May is my anniversary month. Why not a series of posts on “Why I’m glad I married the Monkey”? It certainly fits in the “things that matter to me” category. Today’s installment was inspired by our argument this afternoon.
I don’t know what marriage counselors would say about this, but I say, whatever works: the Monkey and I only argue via IM. We might have had a handful of arguments face to face (handful is roughly a number you can count with your fingers) in the 4 1/2 years we’ve been together. And I’m referring to real, down-and-dirty kinds of arguments, not the “Are you gonna leave your shoes in the middle of the room all week?/Yes, now that you mention it I am; because you mentioned it, actually” kinds of arguments.
